Workshops for Groups

Lino Printing onto Fabric - this is available as a full or half day workshop.

On the full day workshop you will design (no larger than A5), carve & print a lino cut image onto fabric. Louise will have lots of ideas & inspiration with her so please don’t worry if you’re not sure what to print. Louise will provide all the inks, cutting tools etc. for this but you’re also welcome to bring along your own if you have them.

On the half day workshop a selection of smaller designs are supplied for you to trace onto lino & carve before printing.

Please note there will be a small charge (starting at £7.50) for the pieces of lino & inks used on the day. All you have to bring is paper to draw out the design (for the full day) & fabric to print on. 

This workshop is limited to 10 people due to the amount of equipment available.

Lino Print Embellishing Workshop is a full or half day workshop.

On this workshop there will be a selection of pre-printed designs in different colours & on different fabrics for you to choose from. The prints cost £4.00 each & you can buy as many as you like. They can be embellished with fabric, threads, buttons.....whatever you fancy! You can bring your own embellishments & materials to use & Louise will also have a range of materials which can be purchased on the day at a small cost. There will be lots of samples, reference & inspiration to get you started.

The prints measure approx. 18cm x 18cm/14cm in size, depending on the design.

The Embellished Fabric Tea-Light Workshop is a full day workshop.

There will be three designs available for you to make into a pretty tea-light holder – The Meadow, Hopping Hares & Christmas Reindeer. They will be printed in a variety of colours for you to choose from & embellish on the day, using a mix of fabrics & threads. The embellishing & sewing together can be done by hand or machine & once embellished, the print will be mounted around a wooden disc for use with an LED battery candle/tea light. 

The completed tea-lights measure approx. 11cm x 10cm.

Louise will bring along all the prints, materials & threads needed on the day which will be available to purchase at a small cost as follows:-

The Flowers in a Vase Collage Workshop is a full day workshop.

Choosing from a selection of pre-printed designs you will be able to create your own vase of flowers. There will be a choice of foliage/background prints, vase/jugs & flowers - all printed in a variety of colours. You can also make your own flowers/leaves from other fabrics & prints to add onto the design if you wish. The designs can be embellished completely by hand or if you prefer, you can add some machine embroidery. 

Instructions for making the finished piece into a wall hanging or cushion will be given on the workshop.

The background panel measures approx. 30cm x 22cm. 

Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own. 

The approx. cost for all the prints to complete one vase of flowers is £12.00.

All costs will be itemised on the day.

The Embellished Christmas Block Workshop is a full or half day workshop.

On this workshop there will be a selection of pre-printed Christmas block designs for you to choose from. They’ll be available in a variety of colours - traditional & alternative & on different fabrics. Each print measures approx. 8cm x 8cm & you will have the opportunity to embellish & make them into a variety of things such as greetings cards, bunting, cube box & hangings. You can embellish the prints any way you like using different threads, yarns, felt, beads etc. & there will be full instructions available to take away & demonstrations given for all items.

The prints cost £1.00 each & you can purchase as many as you like. There will also be a 9 block printed panel available which is perfect for a cushion. These prints measure 25cm x 25cm & cost £15.00 each.

The ‘Swim Little Fish’ Hanging Workshop is a full day workshop.

The hanging consists of a printed sea background & a selection of individually printed fish that have been embellished & then mounted onto the sea. On the workshop there will be a variety of different coloured backgrounds & fish for you to choose from. You’ll spend the day embellishing & adding detail to both the sea & the fish using a selection of threads, felt, beads, sequins etc. before adding the wording, constructing the hanging & mounting the fish on top. There’ll be written instructions to take away if you don’t manage to finish the hanging on the day.

The completed hanging measures approx. 25cm x 17cm, including the loops & over-hanging fish.

Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day, which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring your own. 

The cost for the prints are:- 

Sea - £3.50

Fish - 25p each

Approx. cost for whole hanging inc. wording & wadding is £6.50.

The Embellished Beehive Workshop is a full day workshop.

The pre-printed beehive & bees will be available in several different colourways for you to choose from. You’ll spend the day embellishing the print with felt, fabric & threads & the stitching can be done by hand or machine. The bees can be either appliqued onto the panel or stitched individually before being mounted using pads to make them raised. 

Once your panel is finished it can be made into items such as a wall hanging, picture or cushion.

The printed panel measures approx. 22cm x 22cm.

Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day, which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own.

The cost for a beehive print & bees will be approx. £10.00.

The Triangular Tree Workshop is a full or half day workshop.

On the workshop there will be a selection of pre-printed triangular Christmas tree designs in a variety of colours & sizes for you to choose from. The trees can be embellished with  threads, beads, buttons, sequins, ribbon etc... the choice is yours. They can be completely hand stitched or machined if you’d prefer. Once the print is embellished you’ll back it, attach the wire & fix it into a piece of wood.

There are 3 sizes of printed trees which measure approx:-

Small - 7cm wide x 7.5cm high

Medium - 11cm wide x 12.5cm high 

Large - 18cm wide x 19cm wide

(not including wire & wood)

Prices for the prints only are:- Small £1.50, Medium £3.00 & 

Large £5.00 

Louise will bring along materials, felt & threads on the day, including pre-drilled wood, which will be available to purchase, but you’re welcome to bring along any of your own threads, embellishments etc. to use if you wish.

The Patterned Landscape - Collage Workshop is a full day workshop.

Choosing from a selection of pre-printed designs you will be able to create your own patterned landscape panel. The prints will be available in a variety of colours & you can make your final design as large or small as you like. The designs can be embellished completely by hand or machine if you prefer & your completed panel could be made into a variety of things such as a wall hanging, cushion or book cover, instructions for which will be provided on the workshop.

Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day, which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own. 

The approx. cost of a small hanging will be £8.00, medium £10.00 - £12.00 & large £12.00 + 

Costs will be itemised on the day.

The Embellished Needle case Workshop is a full or half day workshop.

On this workshop you will be embellishing & making lino printed design on fabric into a needle case.

There will be a selection of pre-printed designs available for you to choose from in a range of colours & fabrics. Once embellished, the prints can be made into a needle case for which there will be several methods to choose from. Louise will demonstrate all the techniques & there will be instructions to take away if you don't manage to complete the needle case during the workshop.

The size of the finished needlecases are approx. 12cm x 12cm.

The Boat & Fish on Driftwood Hanging is a full or half day workshop.

There will be a variety of different coloured lino-printed boats & fish for you to choose your own colour combination for the hanging. All the embellishing is done by hand although a machine can be used if you wish. Instructions on how to assemble the hanging will be provided.

Louise will have all the materials required with her on the day, including driftwood, so please don’t worry if you can’t get hold of everything.

The cost of the whole kit starts at £4.00.

The prints range from approx. 4cm - 10cm in size.

The Seascape Collage Workshop is a full day workshop.

Choosing from a selection of pre-printed designs you will be able to create your own patterned seascape panel. The prints will be available in a variety of colours & you can make your final design as large or small as you like. The designs can be embellished completely by hand or machine if you prefer & your completed panel could be made into a variety of things such as a wall hanging, cushion or book cover.

Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day, which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own.

The approx. cost of a small hanging will be £8.00, medium £10.00 - £12.00 & large £12.00 +

The Christmas Wreath Workshop is a full or half day workshop.

The pre-printed wreath panel will be available in several different colourways for you to choose from. You’ll spend the day embellishing the print with felt, fabric & threads & the stitching can be done by hand or machine. Once your panel is finished it can be cut out to make a shaped wreath hanging or appliqued onto something else such as a cushion.

The finished wreath measures approx. 19cm x 19cm, not including the loop.

Louise will bring along all the materials & threads needed on the day, which will be available to purchase, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own. The cost for the wreath print is £5.00.
